Silver and Sons BBQ is expanding in Montgomery County with a new food truck location planned for Bethesda. The business said it will move one of its trucks to the Historic Community Store site at 8804 Old Georgetown Avenue, with an opening expected in April. The location is intended to serve both morning commuters and daytime customers.
The new site will introduce breakfast items alongside the truck’s existing offerings. Menu items are expected to include breakfast sandwiches such as beef bacon, egg, and cheese on English muffins, as well as breakfast pitas with jalapeño-cheddar beef sausage, egg, and cheese. Rotating pastries, including brisket and cheese croissants and cornbread muffins made with locally sourced cornmeal, are also planned.
The expansion follows the opening of Silver and Sons BBQ at 5362 Westbard Ave in Bethesda in 2025. The concept combines regional American barbecue with Jewish and Mediterranean influences and builds on the original Silver and Sons food truck, which has operated in the D.C. area since 2020.
The Bethesda truck is expected to operate Tuesday through Thursday from 8 am to 3 pm, Fridays from 8 am to 7:30 pm, Saturdays from 11 am to 7:30 pm, and Sundays from 11 am to 6 pm.
Jarrad Silver, chef and owner behind Silver and Sons BBQ, was recently named a semifinalist for “Rising Culinary Star of the Year” at this year’s RAMMY Awards, one of the Washington region’s most respected honors in the restaurant industry.
